Mexican Tourists to Explore Davao del Sur Coffee Heritage at RCIC
The Regional Coffee Innovation Center (RCIC) of Davao del Sur State College is set to welcome a group of Mexican tourists as part of their Davao del Sur Coffee Tour Experience on June 10, 2026.
The visit is being facilitated by the Provincial Tourism Development and Cultural Promotions Office (PTDCPO) in partnership with CES Travel and Tours, with the goal of introducing international visitors to the province’s thriving coffee industry, rich coffee heritage, and innovative coffee development initiatives.
As part of their itinerary, the tourists will tour the DSSC Regional Coffee Innovation Center and Museum, where they will gain firsthand knowledge of Davao del Sur’s coffee value chain, production practices, research initiatives, and community development programs that support local coffee farmers and stakeholders.
To further enrich the learning experience, the Provincial Tourism Office has coordinated with DSSC to provide a coffee expert resource speaker who will share valuable insights about Philippine coffee, answer questions from the visitors, and highlight the unique qualities that make Davao del Sur one of the country’s emerging coffee destinations.
The activity aims to strengthen cultural exchange, promote coffee tourism, and showcase the excellence of Davao del Sur’s coffee industry to an international audience. Through initiatives like this, RCIC continues to serve as a hub for coffee education, innovation, and industry collaboration while advancing the province’s vision of becoming a recognized center for sustainable coffee development.
The Regional Coffee Innovation Center remains committed to promoting local coffee excellence and fostering meaningful connections between farmers, researchers, industry stakeholders, and coffee enthusiasts from around the world.
